Kavachi

There are few things that get my attention in the water these days. However, an actively erupting volcano thirty miles away while I'm in a cave will. Kavachi Valcano is located South of Vangunu Island in the Solomons. It is one of the most active submarine Volcanos in the world. While diving in the area not only can you hear it erupting you can also feel it. In some places it feels like an air bag hitting your chest. So here I am tooling around in a cave at Mary Island when Kavachi goes off . It just so happens that the cloud cover broke at the same time of the eruption. My brain instantly went into oh #$%^ mode and I seriously thought the ceiling of the cave had collapsed. Needless to say I took my wet suit off in the water after that dive.
